Do the TBS announcers for the Phillies versus the Brewers ruin the game?
Absolutely the worst announcing team I have ever heard in the Phillies versus Brewers series. They made it painful to listen to. They move from speaking to the viewer assuming they know nothing about baseball (eg. explaining what the catcher’s signals mean,etc., etc.) to faking knowledge about teams they clearly don’t have (spouting information about players’ performances that are just plain wrong).
Most importantly these are just boring human beings!
They really couldn’t do anything to improve. They are just dull and boring human beings!
I would love it if the radio and MLB broadcasts weren’t a full pitch behind the live action so I could have an alternative.
Just plain awful!
And can the announcers TRY to hide their glee when the series is extended another game which then means another paycheck for them?
These guys are an insult to bad broadcasters – just the worst!
I would love it if they could somehow work it onto the playoff contract that if a team makes it into the playoffs, their own announcers can do the game. I realize it will probably never happen because of conflicting contracts, but it would help the game and the ratings, you’d actually get some insight into the teams from announcers that covered them all year long and traveled with the team.
They could alternate announcers based on what park they are in(home team gets their own announcers) and just tell them to be a little less biased towards one team. personally i kind of like it when an announcer is biased so long as they can still talk about the other team, their passion for what’s going on when they care about one of the teams really comes out.
