OCTOBER 27th ,2008 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES WON THE WORLD SERIES, I READ MLB , MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL RULE BOOK.IT WAS OFFICIAL GAME AFTER 5 FULL INNINGS. LAS VEGAS HAS ALREADY PAID THE BETS. THIS IS A MAJOR LEAGUE CONSPIRACY. DO YOU PEOPLE AGREE ?

Despite all the jumping down your throat going on here, part of what you say is actually true. However, it’s not an official MLB rule you’re referring to (because that was changed). It’s actually a Nevada house rule:

“Although the game was suspended, Nevada sports betting agencies treated it as a completed game and a win for the Phillies. Under Nevada house rules the final score of a baseball game is determined by reverting to the last completed full inning, and the Phillies led 2–1 at the end of the fifth. Game 5 side bets on Philadelphia were paid off while bets on totals and run-line bets were refunded.”

So according to MLB, the Phillies did not win and will have to continue out the rest of this game. However according to Nevada, and gambling, it was a Phillies win.
