The way the cool water ran into your nose burning your throat, the calm chasm of serene water swallowing you, suffocating you, killing you. Dying had never felt so peaceful, easy. You didn’t dare struggle, if there was one way you were going to go it would be like this; quiet and tranquil, no searing pain, no rubber in your mouth, just death.
