Any tips for getting my swing on the proper plane?

I shoot in the low 80s
I’m 17 this is my second year for golfing
I hit the ball good most of the time, but I get a massive slice on my ball about 3 or 4 times per round (normally goes Out of bounds)
I think if I can fix this I’ll be shooting in the mid-high 70s
I played baseball from 5 to 15 and I think that’s what gets my swing off plane
My dad played college golf and I get lessons from him.

Butch Harmon says that your little fingers should lead the club for as much of the swing as is possible.
Also the baseball swing is all good, just on a lower plane!
I find the Green Lanterns comments to be good and constructive as always. Let’s not get too critical we should all feel content that we are all on a similar journey, just at different stages. GL’s comments are relative as the asker has a background in baseball. Ben Hogan got a lot of his technical ingredients for his swing from baseball manuals. Mr Hogan considered that the swings are similar but on different planes. RP R has commented that Jack Nicklaus had a flying right elbow. When a golf reporter once asked Jack if he in fact had a flying right elbow? Jack replied he doesn’t and he does then he does and he doesn’t. This was unclear to the asker but Jack meant that at the start of his takeaway he was tight and didn’t as he went to the top he did and then on startdown he did but as he cleared his front hip he didn’t. Over time and with the fast frame camera it has been determined that it is not essential to fly the back elbow as the best technique requires the promotion of the thumbs to the front of the ball over the top of the wrists which puts the hands on a higher plane with any fly of the back elbow only subtle. It is this move in Tiger’s swing that looks like he is going to take out his Adams’ apple. I consider this to be what Ben Hogan referred to as the Secret of Golf. As the Green Lantern said in his thread there is no one way to swing and it is all about feel as did Mr Hogan so long as the swing comprises five imperatives. So let’s all enjoy it and not get too cynical!
