Best seats at Turner Field and good hotels near it?
As a surprise birthday gift for my Atlanta Braves-loving boyfriend, I’m getting us tickets to the May 12th game against the Nationals. I know very little about baseball and nothing about Turner Field. What are some of the best sections to sit in and why? I’ve looked at the seating chart and assumed the dugout would be good, but is there a better section?
Also, I want to stay in a nice hotel near Turner Field. What are good ones, and why did you like them? Finally, if there’s anything else in town that a big Braves fan would like to experience (a restaurant, etc.) let me know! He’s never been to a game so I want it to be a great trip!

my favorite seat are the upper deck seats right behind home plate.
and yeah, i wouldnt just get a motel around any part of atlanta because there are many slums. but, unlike eric said, there are the nice parts. i would stay at the mariott, the best places to eat are anywhere on peachtree street (cheesecake factory, hard rock cafe), but i also highly recommend the varsity across from ga tech.
if you stay a little longer, i also recommend the georgia aquarium, zoo, 6 flags, and world of coke
