Might those of you whose boyfriend wears a beard kindly consider the following movie recommendation?

I have a beard, and I got a hoot out of a black-and-white comedy called “The Talk of the Town.” One older (40) character’s facial hair figures in the story. At one point the lead actress snaps at him, “You were right to grow a beard. Put on the proper costume just as soon as you were able. Don’t ever shave it off, Mr. Twilight — somebody might think you were alive! That would be misrepresentation!” Boom-boom-boom! Things turn around after the fellow shaves it off (for a purpose), and there’s a happy ending. So, if your boyfriend (and you!) have a sense of humor about the matter, I recommend this movie, which is on VHS & DVD.
(Subgenres: Law, labor relations, activism, 1940s baseball. And a black actor has a good part in it, too.)
Oops, I misquoted! Her speech begins with, “You were right to grow a beard. You’re an old man, all your life. Put on …”.

Thanks for the suggestion! I hope Netflix has it.
