What are the different playing levels in baseball?
I was wondering what the progression was from a person in the minors up to the majoe league. You hear about AAA, AA, A and i was wondering so that I might be able to keep track of prospects for my fantasy team, ie; which ones are the closest to being called up to the majors
AAA is the one you want. There are a lot of transactions between the big league and AAA.
AAA players are usually veterans. Only few of them are rookies. AA and A contain more rookies. That’s why they promote people from AAA first, because generally if you can survive in AAA, you have been tested by other veterans.
