Major League Baseball Umpires Strike

A Baseball Question, Is it a Fair Ball?
I am a pitcher on a women’s team & league. We are about to start our season in a couple of months and we need to draft a ruling on this. Maybe your opinions can help.
The last game of the season, I hit a flyball that hit the left field foul pole. When a ball strikes the foul pole, it is still considered “fair”. But there was debate among the umpires over which type of hit I got. I was eventually given a ground-rule double.
So baseball fans, in using Major League Baseball rules like we do, if a ball hits the foul pole and the pole is flush with the wall as this was, is it:
A) A home run
B) A ground rule double
C) A base hit, but playable by the fielders.
Thank you.
As for protesting the call, it is a Park District league I play on. It’s all volunteer and for fun, so not worth getting too upset over. I wasn’t happy with the call at the time, but oh well. That’s why we need to discuss this.
Any ball that hits the foul pole, above the top of the fence, is a home run. If it hits the pole below the top of the fence, it is a live ball.
