Baseball has the ability to bring everyone together as they enjoy watching the all American sport. Professional baseball teams make up the Major League Baseball. One of the teams in the League that people has grown to love is the Texas Rangers. The people attending the Rangers games has been something to be admired. The Rangers ticket sale is something that is the highest in the league.
The Texas Rangers was named after the famous law enforcement agency.The team was first known as the Washington Senators that was founded in 1961. When the original Senators became the Minnesota Twins, the players that were left had a hard time with the loss of most of the players. The team then moved to Arlington Texas and was hence known as the Texas Rangers. As the Texas Rangers, the new team was far better than when they were playing as the Senators. The Rangers tickets have been sold out as people flocked the Arlington Stadium.
The transfer to Texas brought about more changes than the name of the team. The attendance to the games of the Rangers dwindled slowly because the heat during the summer season as unbearable. At that time, the Arlington stadium was dubbed as the hottest stadium in the whole league. To boost the Rangers ticket sale and the attendance in the games, the management of the Rangers that time decided to hold their summer games at night when the temperature is more bearable. The public caught the change easily and appreciated the efforts that were made.Until now, games during the months of May to September are still held at night.
In 1995 the team moved to a different ballpark. They moved to the Rangers ballpark in Arlington. The new ballpark is a publicly funded stadium. The new stadium was a lucky charm for the team. They won their very first Division championship upon transferring to the new stadium. A few years would pass and the team would again win another two Championships in the ballpark. It would be the 1998 and 1999 championship wins.
The team has continued to perform well in the league. The championship might have been elusive but they never forgotten to give their fans the great game that they deserve. Throughout the history of the team, they have never neglected the people who have shown them support. With the coming years, the team promises to continue playing for the people who always believed in them.
