Little League Baseball Goals

Baseball conditioning?
i’m a little out of shape and want to recondition my body back to attempt to make a minor league baseball team, what is the best way to approach this goal?
Hit the weights! Start jogging! Your specific program would depend on what position you play, but in general I would say not to forget to work the rotator cuffs! Rotator cuff injury is common in baseball and you would be especially susceptable after a long lay-off. You would want to do shoulder circles, and other rotator cuff exercises. The core- you gotta have a strong core! A strong core will have you hitting harder, throwing farther, and it will protect your back from injury. You’ll be quicker in general. Core conditioning with a physioball, and/or ab wheel, along with some standing ab work with a medicine ball. (simulating the hitting movement by torquing your abs.)
