baseball fantasy experts – trade evaluation?
I have been offered a trade of Justin Upton for Haren & Ibanez (I have Haren and Ibanez). Scoring categories are r,hr,rbi,sb,tb,field pct,avg,ops,W,L,ERA,SV,K,K/9,HLD,Whip. We play a matchup per week, so if you win half the categories, your record for that week would be 8-8.
My pitching staff is currently Verlander, Hamels, Haren, Cliff Lee, Ricky Nolasco, Dempster, Bedard & Daniel Hudson.
My offense is

1b – Ryan Howard
2b – Michael Young
3b – Chase Headley (Pablo Sandoval on DL)
SS – Brandon Crawford (Hanley Ramirez on DL)
IF – Freddie Freeman (David Wright on DL)
OF – Jason Werth
OF – Tori Hunter
OF – Ryan Ludwick/Raul Ibanez
Util – Ryan Ludwick/Raul Ibanez (Ike Davis on DL)
My offense has obviously been destroyed by Injuries, which is why I’m interested in doing this trade. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I would make that deal but only because you have more than enough pitching to counter the loss of Haren.
