Why is my fantasy baseball team so bad?

It’s an 8-team league (5×5 scoring). I have a good lineup and good pitching it’s just that I always seem to lose the runs, HRs, RBIs, WHIP, and Ks category. I lost the past 2 matchups and am on my way of losing this one as well. Any suggestion, comments, and advice are appreciated, thanx.
I just seem to suck at shallow leagues; I’m awesome at deep leagues though (1st out of 15 teams in one league, and 2nd out of 16 teams in another league). Any advice for how to play better in a shallow league like this?
