Custom Baseball Helmets

I just bout my son a Baseball Helmet and I wanted to….?
Paint it but I am not sure witch kinds of paint to use. Has anybody painted a custom paint job for there son or daughter baseball helmet and had it turn out good? if so could you tell me what you did. But I do know that the helmet is plastic but I wanted to do like a flame job on it but yeah if anyone can lend a hand the more the marryer
i play baseball and a few years back in an all stars game i saw a kid with a paint job on the helmet and it was pretty cool but also a lil obnoxious, and people on my team made fun of him, i suggest if you do anything you make it a solid color and nothing more, because it may also make him a target at the plate, since i remember my friend throwing at him
