Will I be able to get into a good college, preferably an upper tier UC?

I have a 3.75 weighted GPA (a little low, I know) with plenty of honors and AP courses and 2100 on my SAT. What I’m worried about is that I was not in any clubs, a minimum amount of community service, and my only real extracurricular was Baseball (all four years/ two on varsity). However, I’ve been told that I should be able to get in better schools than most of my friends because I am Mexican (well half, but I have a Mexican surname). Not sure if colleges care, but my family makes $150K+ per year and both of my parents went to college. Help me out here because I’m a little worried that I’m not going to get into the schools I want to (UCSD, UCSB, UCI, UCD, Cal Poly San Louis Obispo, and maybe Cal, UCLA, and USC).

UCs do not consider race/ethnicity for application evaluation purposes.

Most UC campuses are academic achievement oriented, meaning excellent grades and fantastic test scores are essential to be competitive and anything else you can pile on (leadership, etc.) are brownie points.

Berkeley is an exception in that students who demonstrate abilities in overcoming hardship and/or limited educational opportunities are just as competitive as students who have excellent grades and demonstrated leadership potential.

Coming from a “well-off” background just means you are not considered as socioeconomically disadvantaged, something that the UCs consider when evaluating the student’s educational opportunities. Having parents who are college educated means you are not considered first-generation college goer.
