How do I get more college and pro baseball scouts to see my son?

I would like to know how to go about getting the word out about my son and his playing ability. During fall ball (baseball) that just ended, he was batting almost a 400. His position is catcher, this past summer his throwing arm was timed at 1.9. I know he is good, we both have been told that he is, and his skill is at D1 level. So how do I get him seen. I don’t have the way financially to get videos made, so I need to know a nother way. Thank you. Louann

The person recommending showcases is naive. Showcases do nothing but give baseball schools and the colleges that run them cash, nothing more. No college coach is going to pick or dismiss a player based solely on that player’s performance in one or two games.

If your son is good, he will be noticed. How? By putting up great stats and making headlines in local papers, that’s how.

If your son is truly good enough but he’s facing inferior competition, he will need to absolutely dominate the competition. A .300 average won’t cut it if the pitching is no better than average.

Players on Division I teams were stars on their high school team.

You need to realize that baseball isn’t everything. The most important thing for your son is to get an education first.
