Who will win the american league east this year, and who will win the american league wildcard?
I am a die hard rays fan and I follow baseball religiously! i have a feeling that the al east race will come down to the wire between the yankees, rays, and red sox. any predictions on how this will end up?
I don’t know. I think the division is the Yankee’s to lose, they have just been too good at all aspects (starting pitching, bullpen, offense, defense, young guys, veterans).
For the wild card, obviously the Rays are terrific, I think they are 20 games over .500 after today, but if I were a Rays fan (which I’m not, go pinstripes) I would be worried about Boston because they have played very well while having so many players hurt (Pedroia, Martinez, Ellisbury, Beckett). This is a race that will come down to the wire, but I think Ortiz will slow down, and that will be enough for the Rays to take the wild card
