UMPIRE GEAR!! FOR BASEBALL!!! ASAP?
Im 19, 150 LBS, Im buying umpire chest protector For baseball! I also want umpire shirts as well I wear medium size shirt, Should I get a Size bigger in shirt like a large becasue the chest protector will be big for a medium and my shirt will untuck. Or Should I stay with a Medium shirt? I have heard to stick with a medium size all the way but I need Opinions From Umpires. PLEASE I NEED ANSWERS ASAP!!! THANKS!!!
It may depend on the type of chest protector you use.
I haven’t seen 19, or 150 pounds for many years now, but I wear the West Vest protector for baseball and a Schutt Comfort Lite for softball. I use a 2X shirt with both, and on the bases as well.
If you use the Honigs or Fecheimer pants, there is a rubber strip in the waistband that helps hold the shirt tucked in. You can also get a strip made specially for that purpose, but I doubt you need it.
