Baseball Steroids Era

In your opinion, What is/was the most exciting era of baseball?
and why? I think the dead ball era would be most fun to watch. WIth Stolen bases, stealing home, spitballs, more strategy, more aggressive play, no homeruns, no steroids, humans players and Ty Cobb. If i could go back in time to see a game, I would chose the dead ball era. What do you think?
I’m partial to the 1980s. It was perhaps the most balanced era in history between “small ball” and “long ball”. Every (non-strike) year the HR leader had hit 40+; but base stealers like Rickey Henderson, Tim Raines and Vince Coleman. I also think we’re returning to a similar balance now that drug testing is in place.
However, having lived through the 80s, I wouldn’t want to go back. Instead if I could be to see one game it would either be 1960s to see some pitcher’s duels or way back to the late 1880s or 1890s to see that era which is probably most unlike what we see now.
