Why does the girl’s/women’s softball uniform include shorts?
Guys play baseball in baseball pants? Doesn’t it hurt when you slide? When I played softball, we wore softball pants. Do the girls who play today like wearing shorts? Seems a little weird. Why do men and women wear the same uniform in every other sport??
Just curious.
But don’t guy’s teams travel alot in 90 degree weather? It kind of seems a little sexist….But I guess if the girls like to wear them who am I, eh?
Well in softball there are hard core travel teams and when you play sometimes you will play in 90 degree weather shorts are so much cooler than pants trust me I’ve played on 6 travel teams and had pants on one team and shorts on the other. Girls softball to proteh your legs we wear sliding shorts wich are just a little spandex and go on under your shorts and we wear leg sliders wich are just like knee pads you pull up over your knees some wear one on one leg some wear two one for both legs then there’s our knee high socks wich protect our calvs. No sliding does not hurt at all when you have all these things on. Yes you may think well that’s gotta be hotter than pants but really it’s not at all. Yes girls today like to wear shorts more than pants. Trust me I play travel all over the country and love shorts
