Most hits in one inning without scoring a run?
What is the most hits a baseball team can get in one inning without scoring a run?
I was told that the answer is 6. How can this be done?
(Note: each hit must be an official hit according to baseball scorekeeping rules.)
First and second batters get singles and are thrown out trying to stretch it into a double. Nex three batter get singles bases loaded. Nex tbatter hit a gorund ball that hits a runner in fair territory. runner is out for the third out but the batter is credited with a single.
