Baseball Pitcher Stats Abbreviations

Could someone help me understand MLB player stats?
I know there are different statistics for each player/each position.
If someone could help me better understand them by explaining what each of the abbreviations mean for each player/position (ex. Pitcher, short stop, pitcher, 1st, 2nd, 3rd basman, catcher, outfielders, etc)
What would be a good example of really good stats for each of these players?
How do they determine the stats for each player?
What do stats mean to the overall player?
An example of bad stats?
comparting stats for different players?
I’m trying to make these questions as specific as possible.
I’m really starting to get into baseball a lot more and I would love to learn everything about it.
Is there a good site I can go to to learn more about all aspects of MLB?
