Any Tips for Passing the Umpire Certification Exam?
In a few days I’ll be taking the exam to be certified as a High School baseball umpire by the NFHS, and I was wondering if anyone has taken this test before and has any tips, or any of the rules that I should be studying in particular. I know the entire rulebook is fair game, but are there any sections in particular that are often tested, or any trick questions they love to throw at you? Thanks…
You should have already taken an open book study guide quiz, either by hand or on-line. The NFHS consistently uses those questions on the qualification exam. They just word them different. Also, be aware of 2 or more questions the same with minute details changed. Don’t read into any question by adding “what ifs” or “except whens” answer true false based on the wording only. GOOD LUCK
