Baseball Dugout Equipment
Professional Baseball Catchers Gear: What order does the equipment go on?

I see that a professional catcher is in and out of his equipment just about every inning, and depending on if he had the last at-bat, he’s got to hustle to get it all back on. Do most catchers have a set routine for this? How do they organize it in the dugout around their teammates? Are they superstitious about any of it as well?

Catchers will usually leave their knee or shin guards or whatever they are called on, unless they have to bat since that’s the part of the equipment that takes the longest to get on. The rest comes on pretty quickly so it doesn’t matter if they have it on or not. And if they bat, then I’m pretty sure they have a routine where they leave it in a place they will go directly to when the inning ends and try to get it on as quickly as possible
