Engineering and Baseball?

I want to study something that leads to me to be a part of a great organization that has to do with baseball, such as MLB, or EASTON Sports, or something like that. I was thinking about engineering. I was thinking about creating better baseball equipment, like improving the baseball bats or catcher’s gear or stuff like that. What type of engineering should I study? or if not what would be a better major?

My brother plays D2 college baseball, and majors in some kind of physical therapy/sports medicine thing. He likes it allot and says their is a big market for those types of people on professional and college teams. Maybe try that if you don’t like engineering.
