What’s the best place to go for someone hoping to create a collection of baseball cards? Before you begin, it’s a good idea to make your search easier by deciding what kind of cards you want. If you’re looking for new cards, the best place to start would be your local shop. Checking out conventions and card shows is also a good way of meeting other collectors. Decide ahead of time on any special baseball cards that would look good in your collection. You should also be aware of what your cards are worth, so invest in a price guide to help you along.
Once your collection is big enough, you’ll need to think about how you’re going to store and protect it. The method you choose to preserve your baseball cards depends largely on how much you want to invest in it and whether it is worthwhile when the value of the cards is considered.
Most importantly, collect because you enjoy it, not as an investment.
