Baseball Art Painting

Good Poem? What type of poem would you say it is?
Sloppy Joe McDouggio,
Isn’t a baseball player.
He doesn’t like to make a speech
But wants to run for mayor.
He’s not yet sixty (though he says),
Or even forty-two
In fact he’s only seventeen
And cannot tie his shoe.
He thinks he’s funny but he’s not
And isn’t very smart.
He’ll paint a painting of a house
Yet it’s anything but art.
He smells like rotten sausages,
And rotten eggs as well.
He makes the birds fall in their flight
And makes me want to yell.
This is just part of it but I want to know if it’s good and WHAT TYPE OF POEM IT IS?
I was thinking it was a Rhyming Poem but maybe not?? TY
It reminds me of a “kids” poem, a “story poem” a day-care teacher would read to the students and everybody would laugh. it’s great, actually!! very funny and comical and has good rhythm and it’s clean, too. if i were you, I’d finish it and send it out to a school, a classroom poetry contest, or print it up yourself and get it read in a local school system or private day care system. there’s lots of opportunities for this type of thing.
